Hi, my mates given me a laptop he no longer needed and there is a account that has a password that he cannot remember, how do i find out the password cos i can’t change anything without knowing that password?

i got a acer aspire 5520 from gf cpl yrs ago for x mas we put password in it and not got in it for yr 1/2 now we dont remeber password what can we do?
