1. Open Question: Which is better? Dell VS VAIO (Sony)? - I'm looking at two laptops and I'm not sure which one is better. One is the Dell Inspiron i1545 Notebook PC - 15.6" Display / Intel Pentium Dual Core T4400 2.2GHz / 4GB DDR2 / 320GB HD / DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive / Built-in Webcam / 802.11b/g WLAN / Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) and the other one is a Sony VAIO VPC-CW13FX/P 14-Inch Laptop - 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 Processor / 4GB DDR2 800MHz Memory / 320GB Hard Drive / 14" Display / Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit). I don't know much about laptops, but I know I need one and as far as I can tell the specs are the same, so which one of these is a better choice??

4. Open Question: Can anyone recommend a laptop and some other things? - I need it for college. I am going to major in Software Engineering. I download a lot of music, movies, and pictures. I do some video editing and light gaming. It does not have to be very lightweight but easy to carry. I want a screen at least 15 inches. I also want it to have about 500GB hard drive, 2 to 4 GB of RAM, Intel processor, ATi or NVIDIA graphic card. I also need a printer, scanner, and flash drive. I would also like a mouse and a laptop fan/cooler. I would like this all to be at or less than $1500.
5. Open Question: Why cant i connect my 3g dongle? - Im using windows 7. Whenever i insert my 3d dongle into my laptop autoplay comes up and i click on the run button then i click yes to the "allow the following program to make changes to your computer" . then after that nothing happens, but with my other computer i do all of that and some installation thing came up after i clicked yes. that computer it windows 7 too. anyone know what the problem is? 7. Open Question: My Macbook Pro has been overheating? - I have a 15" Macbook Pro from July 2008. It's basically the love of my life, and up until a few months ago I also had a 13" Macbook that I carried around to class, but I started taking this guy and sold the other one to make some extra money. Anyway, in the last month and a half, my MBP has overheated 3 times. I'll close it (without shutting down) and put it in my bag, and I'll open it up a half hour or so later and it's hot (!) and the screen is black. What I've been doing is take the battery out, let it rest until cool to the touch, then restarting and all has been fine. What I'm wondering is whether this is a sign of some horrible problem or if it's something harmless that I just never noticed because I usually left it sleeping and open on the desk.

Open Question: in the market for a laptop? - i am currently looking to buy a laptop. i am thinking about an ASUS K series. i want a computer which can provide a good multimedia experience, large hard-drive space and RAM, with decent battery life and wireless internet connectivity. i am willing to spend some money, just not break the bank. i am not a computer wizard, but i am not an idiot either. what recommendations can you give me (whether about an ASUS or something else)? my only limitations are that i am not a Mac person. thanks

Open Question: why wont my product key work? - Ok so here's the story have an acer,aspire laptop with microsoft office ,the legal copy.I have a to use microsoft a lot and used it 25 times without entering the product key .so when i was trying to start an essay , i clicked i did not want to enter my product key. so then every thing went grey on microsoft word.(except the backround of course) and so then i exited the document.i put in the product key(under the laptop) and it says it was incorrect. i tried it 12 more times and it still said the same thing. so then i clicked the help icon and it told me what to do(7 things) and i did it. i tried re downloading and restarting and used other product keys that were unused like my brothers and it kept sayin....This is not a correct product key. please try it again or put in a diffrent product key. so can you please help me it wouldd help alot

33. Open Question: Why won't my Acer laptop power on? - I was watching a movie last night, and I noticed that my battery was nearly dead. So, I plugged in the power cord to charge it, then about five minutes later the whole screen went black. I tried to power it back on, but nothing happened. There are no blinking lights or anything.

Open Question: Why is my laptop battery when fully charged showing as only half charged? - My laptop is plugged in all the time, and for the first year, the battery icon at the bottom showed it fully charged all the time. Now when I turn it off and let it fully charged it shows it as being less than half full. Before it would be half full, not it is less than half full. Does this mean I need a new battery? 37. Open Question: Dropped my laptop, i need a little help? - A spider was dangling from the ceiling over my head, i was sat on a chair with my laptop on my lap. Spiders being my biggest fears in the whole wide world, it obviously scared the living s**t out of me. Open Question: How to get my display settings back on Windows XP? - Okay I had this virus (and took me forever to get rid of) and whenever (on an Windows XP) you want to change your screen saver and your wall paper and such you right click your screen, go to the properties and you change it right there. Now, thanks to this virus, I don't have the Screen Saver, Wall paper, and prolly some other tabs on my properties window. The only tabs I have on there is the Themes, Appearance, and Settings tab.
