i have a new computer and cannot connect to wireless network i know the router and the connection are fine as my old computer works fine, i look in the networks as it does not see any wifi networks which is bizarre as where i live there are 4 of them that show up on my other computer, do you think the laptop is faulty and i should return it, why is nothing straight forward.

most new laptops have a switch to power on the wifi card, its just a safe guard so you can easily still use the laptop without having to connect to the web, the switch is normally either on of the sides or it may be a keyboard shortcut look for the little wifi symbol.
