if you have the cash a MacBook Pro is probably the best your going to get, pc laptops are ok, but you would need to spend similar money in any case to get the same specs, i purchased a second hand one from eBay and its amazing have not had a single slow down as yet running any cad stuff - http://www.computer-adviser.com/used-apple-laptops.html
i’d also recommend the 17″ if your going to be in one place most of the time, or go for one of the smaller ones and get an external monitor if not.
