Before my brother came back my modem/router only kicks me off 1-2times/hour but after my brother came back its been kicking me off 1-3times/5-10mins. I am wireless and he use cable, my house has carpet but I use boxes to avoid it to have contact with the carpet(which some say that can be the reason why). I just went LiveChat with the AT&T technician and all she did is give me a number to call. I don’t want to call because I know I have to wait a long time and still can’t get my problem solve. So I am hoping that I can get some answer here. I am using DSL high speed and my modem/router is 2wire 2701HG-B. And someone told me that it may be the computer’s problem, but I just bought my computer 3-4days ago can it still be my computer’s problem?

common router issue, generally once a router starts dropping the connection to wifi computers its usually time to replace it as the dropouts will only get worse until it fails completely
