my laptop hard drive is on windows xp but every time i start t on my laptop it come up with the blue screen but if i put it in another laptop windows xp works in that help

what does it say on the bluescreen?

As you say the hard drive works ok in another laptop, so that means a hardware issue, try reseating the ram, if this fails try removing some of it to check for a faulty module
