I have the above board in my Sony Vaio PC, Model#PCV-RZ30CG. I was hoping to upgrade the on-board Ram from 2gig to 4gig. Does the bios have to be changed so that the CPU can see 4gig ?

Thank you for your assistance, the CPU is capable of addressing 4gig but the motherboard was made exclusively for Sony and Sony will not move passed 2gig when asked.
Time to build a new computer…thanks again.
we can easily install all codecs but there are downsides to simply downloading a codec pak such as losing thumbnail images findout how to simply just install the codec you need xp vista codec
If you have no sound on DVDs or other media find out how to resolve this problem, also find out more about general sound issues at computer-adviser.com
The operating system not found error message which can give all manner of boot problems can normally be fixed pretty easily, read here for more on this.

hi the motherboards limited to 2gb, so unless there is a BIOS upgrade which i have looked for and cannot find its permanently limited to 2gb
