you have to allow around 10gb for the operating system, another 10gb for any applications, around another 10gb for file, so if your really just using the disk for this then an 80gb will suffice, but as the price for an extra 240gb may only be a few dollars it could be money well spent as generally newer larger hard drives are faster than the smaller older types
