You need to use an application such as Nero, dont try to burn to the disk directly from Windows as you can from a blank CD.

Also if the disk is actually a DVD RW you need to format first.

Hi there
You should not need to format a new DVD R, you only need to format DVD RW disks, if you try to write to it and it says no space available then the problem is with the disk, maybe it had something written to the disk and the session was closed earlier.

If your looking in my computer or windows explorer at the disk space available pay no attention to this as it always says free space zero, just try writing to the disk, also as your using Nero make sure you select the DVD option.
