nobody knows the password for any of the accounts on my xp, and a have a guest account witch is super limited (and there is no internet connection on the computer, and I cant set up connection without the admin password), so the “control user passwords2″ doesnt work. I’ve tried many different commands on command prompt, but they never work. It just says “access denied”. ophcrack live cd didnt work either. the xp didnt automatically run the cd! help pleezzzz!!!

i’ve found many of the so called “good” windows password software to be a little flaky at best.

try downloading the hirens boot disk – then burn this to cd, power on the computer pop in the cd – hit the f12 key to bring up the boot menu – then select the cd – launch the hirens tools and active pasword changer – this has worked every time for me on both XP and Vista
