Uncertain if it is actually my browser since I yet have virtually no free time to upgrading and so i am continue to making use of firefox 3 but when watching your web page I seen some kind of strange characters all around the website . like Warning: Cannot modify footer string … and so on. This is a little unusual mainly because for me internet sites similar to yahoo and bing as well as my very own one san diego auto insurance do appear with no problems.

i can’t see my files now even though my hard disk space is still the same. i can still see my pictures by clicking start then selecting pictures… as well as my mp3 when i open windows media player. but the big problem is i can’t access any files when i use my documents folder. when i browse there only few files such as two pics and 2 .docx.

i tried to open my computer but i can’t access to “documents and Setting”

i only think this happened because of a virus, before i encounter this i inserted a USB from my friend… and then a dialog box suddenly appeared which i just ignored.. still that dialog box appears in my desktop and can’t be removed.

http://img709.imageshack.us/i/43166142f.jpg/ here the picture of that dialog box.

I was given a desktop computer and have set it up i believe it is an older model. I put the computer together and went to turn it on the modem comes on with power however the monitor will not display anything on screen and everytime i turn it on regardless of it hooked up to modem or not it will turn itself off within 5 seconds of it coming on. I have tried several different things such as holding the power button in as it comes up, i have tried the control alt delete, i have pressed any and all buttons as soon as it comes on, no matter what i do it will cut itself off within 5 seconds like it is stuck in a sleep mode. Is there something at all that i can try?

Here is a challenge for computer wizards worldwide…

All of my browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome) hang, upon attempting to reach the Yahoo Main page, or attempting to log on to my Skydrive account… Skydrive explorer also does not log on to skydrive.

It’s not an https issue because Yahoo does not use https to go to the main page. This problem must have to do with other than the browser, so don’t tell me it’s the browser. So what must be common to both Yahoo and Skydrive inside my computer (Windows XP professional)? and please don’t insult my intelligence by suggesting malaware, viruses or the like… all the obvious stuff has been checked… this is why this is a challenge, for people who really know… no obvious registry issues, so what else could it be?

The hosts file contains nothing except the factory settings.

Any ides and thanks for any help offered.

Chikin
