I have Windows XP and I was attempting to do a PC restore to install Windows 7. The PC restore failed and won’t let me enter Windows. Can I use an external cd drive and install Windows 7 to fix the problem?

yes just hit the F12 key on bootup select the external cd drive and then follow the repair option
