hi i have a windows vista pc and its giving me problems when i switch on the pc it starts and then displays a a screen to choose what to load; safe mode last known working settings, normal windows etc. i have tried all the options given however it all does the same thing it starts loading and there is an activity bar indicating that its loading and thats it doest go beyond that i have left it on for over an hour but nothing
there is no other indication of recovery options
i have no recovery cds for it so i don’t know what to do please help

create a hirens boot disk for yourself then you boot from this into mini xp and then run chkdsk /r over your hard drive – http://www.computer-adviser.com/windows-xp-password-recovery.html
