how do I remove an icon from the toolbar (start-up)?

right click on it and select delete – this will only remove the icon and not uninstall or remove the application associated with it.

This does not work using right click and then select delete. This is not even a quick fix! I am looking for the correct answer to remove an icon off of the toolbar after start-up has run.

which toolbar do you mean?

an office tool bar? quick launch group? Startup group? Start menu group?
