Im looking to setup a personal database to keep a record of sales orders, this also includes customer details, plus i would like to be able to easily see stuff like total amounts of products sold – which customers are purchasing what, the database must be portable as many orders come from shows, im not too clued up on databases so i would prefer something off the shelf which does not require to much work to develop.

Personally i like Excel and Access, but if your looking for an off the shelf package checkout filemaker – it allows databases to be created very easily and modified to do just about anything you want.
