seems like my files are gone

i can’t see my files now even though my hard disk space is still the same. i can still see my pictures by clicking start then selecting pictures… as well as my mp3 when i open windows media player. but the big problem is i can’t access any files when i use my documents folder. when i browse there only few files such as two pics and 2 .docx.

i tried to open my computer but i can’t access to “documents and Setting”

i only think this happened because of a virus, before i encounter this i inserted a USB from my friend… and then a dialog box suddenly appeared which i just ignored.. still that dialog box appears in my desktop and can’t be removed.

This is what I get when I try to open Excel and Word 2007:
Microsoft Office Excel cannot access C: \program files\microsoft office\office 12\clickbook..xla.xla
Word cannot open this document template C:\Program Files\….\startup\cb.dot

Renamed User Account in Windows XP now can’t change back

In Windows xp Home, I created a new User account and made it Administrator. Then I renamed my old User account and changed it to limited–it was the orginal Administrator I now realize. Now User Accounts screen is blank and I can’t change back. All sorts of other problems have started too. Can anyone help? Are the ProfileImagePaths messed up or confused?

cursor changes to timer wont allow start

After removal of viruses, and boot up in normal mode, the cursor will change to the timer and will not allow to do anything else ( when pointing to the “start”). Access in safe mode is only thing to work….Help !!
