its a fact hard drives do fail – the safest way is to use DVD’s the dual layer type can store up to 8.5gb which should be plenty, the good thing about backing up onto DVD’s is they are cheap, so you can make multiple copies, as for software to backup try using the Windows backup its free, easy to use and you can setup a template so its easy to take a backup every week or so – www.computer-adviser.com/computer-backup.html
