General Computer Questions

The indicator light on my Dell Inspiron 1300 notebook keeps flashing red. The battery seems to be fully charged. I have not seen this before. Can you tell me what it might mean?

I had purchased a 3pc edition of Office Home and Student 2007 and installed it on three computers.  One system, when in Outlook Express, cannot open Excel attachments. Word and Acrobat open fine.  Excel opens with a blank blue screen.  Ideas?
